Two people who understand the power of leverage very well are Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump. If you haven’t read their book, “Why We Want You To Be Rich”, I would suggest you pick up a copy.
I love Robert’s concept of never investing in companies he doesn’t own, but he invests in his own companies because of control. Just look what has happened to millions of people today who have invested their lives in Corporate America only to have dreams shattered. Their power of leverage was confined to only one source and the results were not positive.
This article is meant to help you understand the power of leverage in more than one area.
The first would be something everyone has, and it would be knowledge. You might ask “what does knowledge have to do with leverage”? Because of the explosion of technology, specifically the Internet, people can share their knowledge today like never before in the history of mankind.

As a young man, I remember a t.v. commercial that said “when E.F. Hutton speaks, people listen”… I believe anyone who is interested in making money, might be able to learn a thing or two from these guys.
I know that all of us can’t go out and start new businesses, but thankfully we don’t have to. There are many Network Marketing Companies to choose from and they allow you to be the C.E.O. of your own business. You control most of the decisions that lead to your success, such as your work schedule, who you allow into your business, and what level of success you choose to achieve. The power of leverage works as you bring people into your business and the company pays you a percentage of the volume they produce.
When you think about the concept, it is awesome. How many more people in our country could prosper if the majority of products were distributed this way. Rather than having Wal Marts making billions of dollars, the wealth could be spread to millions of individuals!
The power of leverage is not a new concept, Egyptians used leverage in building the pyramids thousands of years ago. It amazes me, by looking at pictures of those magnificent structures, how valuable leverage is and how desperately it is needed in the financial crisis that is taking place in America today.
Americans need to take advantage of this power today and start living “The American Dream” that is still possible for all.
